Synopsis
After witnessing the death of his
father, Maximus, Lucius Verus Aurelius grows up with a sense of revenge against

Marcus Acacius, played by Pedro Pascal, and forced to fight as a gladiator in
Rome. In his journey, Lucius seeks revenge and restores the glory of Rome to
its people.

Production
Ridley Scott returns as director,

Harry Gregson-Williams replaced
Hans Zimmer as assistant on the film. Gregson-Williams composed 100 minutes of
original score and used several musical elements from the first film.

"Gladiator II" premiered
in Sydney, Australia, on October 30, 2024, and was released in the United
Kingdom on November 15 and in the United States on November 22. The film
received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the action scenes and
performances of the actors, while others criticized the plot for being less
emotional than the first film. Despite this, the film managed to gross
significant box office and earned several awards, including a Best Supporting
Actor award for Denzel Washington at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
